Jump $tart is a free program for youth ages 15-17 interested in developing their employment skills. The goal of Jump $tart is to increase self-awareness, improve employment readiness, and build confidence for job search and the workplace. The program offers workshops and guest speakers. Score a $1000 Scholarship!
The Youth Employment Centre offers scholarships every year. To be eligible, you must be working on or have completed career planning or job search activities with an Employment Counsellor at the Youth Employment Centre.

Be a Voice for Youth
Launched in 2001, the Youth Employment Centre's Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) provides a fun and exciting opportunity for Calgary's youth to develop communication, consultation, leadership, and teamwork skills. YAC members work collaboratively with the Centre to ensure that programs and services are youth friendly. Members advise YEC on a variety of career and employment related topics, such as hiring fairs, community workshops, marketing materials, website development, and much more.
Project Protégé is a professional development mentorship program for post secondary students under age 25 enrolled in Social Work, Human Services, or Health and Physical Education at Mount Royal University and the University of Calgary.
